No I mean for the default behavior in Fedora for GRUB 2 to be that the
last chosen entry be made the default boot option (next boot). This is done
 with:

 GRUB_DEFAULT=saved
 GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true

I know how to change the behavior. I'm suggesting that this is a
preferable behavior for users new to Fedora, which does not require that
they become familiar with the esoteric aspects of GRUB.

GNU/Linux to just Linux? Fedora GNU/Linux, with Linux 3.… makes

Fedora Linux, with Linux 3.… (which Fedora's grub2-mkconfig generates

 Linux is just the kernel.

pdfminer, a Python library for extracting plaintext, HTML, and images from
 a pdf file: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=823679

I learned the basics of writing a spec file a while back, but nothing
really ever came of this as I couldn't find any software I was actually
interested in packaging. That is, until recently, when I found myself using
pdfminer in a small project (I'm primarily a Python programmer, though I
mess around with lots of other languages). So then I saw it wasn't packaged
in Fedora, and decided it would be a perfect first package for me.

I've used Fedora since 13/14, but again, only recently decided I wanted to
become involved in development and packaging.

I am (obviously) looking for a sponsor to proceed further with Fedora
packaging- as I said in the review ticket itself, I can start doing reviews
of other people's packages soon as part of that process.

It is pretty unusual, to test a package before it's released. If you're
 looking for a reviewer,
I'd like to point you to
 https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Package_Review_Process#Contributor:

 4. Wait for someone to review your package!

If that doesn't help, you might offer:

 Review Swaps
If nobody comments on your review request, you might want to mail to a
mailing list (devel@lists.fedoraproject.org, for example) asking for a
review swap. This is an offer to do a review of someone else's package
in exchange for them reviewing your package. This is usually
one-for-one, or can be some other private arrangement depending on the
 difficulty of the respective packages.

Just mailing devel@lists saying: hey everybody, here's something to test
might work but is usually not a good strategy. There are about 700
packages waiting to get reviewed. Just start a few and the chances for
 your packages will improve.
