Re: FC15 beta testing result by my 76-year old uncle
Hi Andy Cheese/skype, but not image * logitech quickcam express doesn't work -- light goes on in I don't know about it specifically, but when I use my USB microscope I use Camorama. Notice though it has no UI to select device, you have to give a switch --device=/dev/video1 on commandline if it's not the first video device. It also might be worth a try. FC15 beta testing result by my 76-year old uncle
Hi all, I've setup FC15 beta for my 76-year old uncle. The major issues encountered: * wake up from suspend didn't work on his laptop; on another one does * logitech quickcam express doesn't work -- light goes on in Cheese/skype, but not image Overall, it was pretty ok. Here's my uncle talking with a friend of his: http://tinypic.com/r/311vvnq/7 He finds very helpful l10n and Chrome translate of english content. better Macbook Pro support in F15?
Hi, There are quite a few Macbook Pro reported in Fedora. Some of them are easy fixes, e.g. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=652801 (just install a few packages) https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=580703 (sound it's muted by default) and other might need further investigation, e.g. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=617867 Would it be possible to review these and at least close the easy fixes for F15? JVM can allocate more memory than a predefined value which can be controlled by startup parameters. This is what we do in eclipse.ini but we can not set this to something really big because people can use eclipse for things that even require less than the current settings.
