In the past, steal time has been caused by other lpars needing resources I think. At least in the runup to RHEL9, the steal % was very high and I was told it was due to other lpars doing QE work on rhel9. I do see about 18-22% stolen time on the hypervisor, and there's some cpus showing 100% idle. ;( I can try asking for more cpus, but unlikely to happen immediately. kevin signature.asc Description: PGP signature ___ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

Re: [rawhide] ICU upgrade to 71.1
WebKitGTK builds have been unreliable for the past few weeks. There is an infrastructure ticket for this here: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10909 I think processing debuginfo requires somewhere between 12-13 GB of RAM, so the s390x builders are likely right on the threshold where it will sometimes succeed and sometimes not. You can see the build has been running for 52 hours, but the task is only 6h30m as I write this. That's consistent with OOM. My guess is it builds WebKit almost successfully, then dies processing debuginfo, then starts building again, and just loops, wasting resources on the builder. There is a related infrastructure ticket: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10910 Please note I am intend to retire the webkit2gtk3 package ASAP. In F37, it will be obsoleted by a new webkitgtk source package, which builds WebKitGTK three times. Of course that means the build time will triple, but it will be easier to maintain than three different source packages. A scratch build with all three builds enabled was actually successful. For now, we're waiting to recover the package name: https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10919 Michael ___ devel mailing list -- devel@lists.fedoraproject.org To unsubscribe send an email to devel-le...@lists.fedoraproject.org Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue

[rawhide] ICU upgrade to 71.1
Hi, Later today, I'll be starting with rebuilds of packages depending on icu. The rebuilds will take place in f37-build-side-55935 for all packages returned by sudo repoquery --whatrequires 'libicu*.so.69()(64bit)' (list attached at the end of the message). Please, if you're going to make changes in affected packages before the side tag gets merged, make the build in the said side tag. I expect to merge the side tag with most of the affected packages built and then continue building things that take longer to build (webkit/libreoffice) later. For stuff that may fail to build, either due to newer icu or unrelated issues, there is a libicu69 compat package already available in rawhide, so that should take care of FTI issues that'd arise by merging the side tag. I'll try to help the maintainers with fixing the issues. I'll post updates to this thread as I progress with the bump.
