Review swaps

2024-04-22 Thread Kan-Ru Chen
Hi all,

I have 3 packages awaiting reviews. I'm happy to exchange.

First is a new IBus input method (code includes bits of C and Python):

  ibus-array: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2275556

The other two are trivial rust packages that I need for upcoming libchewing
release:

  rust-xflags-macrios: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2276537
  rust-xflags: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2276539

Cheers,
Kan-ru

These will need to be reviewed with respect to the [COPR mentioned
 above](https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/jjames/SCIP/), since I
can't build asl in Rawhide without breaking the existing mp package,
so the rest all has to be done at once in a side tag.

Let me know what I can review for you in exchange for the above
 reviews.

Two review swaps

2023-12-26 Thread Lyes Saadi
Hello and happy holidays !

I have two review requests I'd like to swap with anyone willing to !

1. python-pyfiglet : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1876108
This one has been in a legal hell for a 3 years ! But, it is finally freed from
legal and updated to the new guidelines ! I'm swapping this because it would
otherwise never get reviewed ^^'. Everything concerning legalese should be
sorted and it had initially been approved, but it might cause you some trouble
if you are allergic to anything legal :P.

2. python-willow : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2255935
Just a simple dependency needed to upgrade Setzer ! This package though needs
another one to be updated before being shipped to Fedora, I'm just hoping to
get it approved so that I can push it as soon as the dependency in question is
updated. A successful COPR build with the updated dependency is provided, so
that shouldn't be a problem.

Happy holidays,
Lyes Saadi--

SoPlex and SCIP review swaps

2023-12-06 Thread Jerry James
Kevin Kofler noted about a year ago [1] that new versions of the solvers
SoPlex [2] and SCIP [3] were released under free software licenses. Over the
last year, I've been working little by little on building them in a COPR [4]
and rebuilding various Fedora packages with SoPlex and SCIP support. I
believe we have reached the point where we can start integrating this work
into Fedora.

I need reviews for the following new packages. I am willing to swap reviews.

separate git repositories; see the new asl package listed above. This will
reduce the number of runtime dependencies for the coin-or packages.

Since the new asl package conflicts with the current mp package, the
introduction of asl, modification of mp, and rebuilding of affected coin-or
packages all need to be done at once. Once all of the reviews are complete,
they will be built in a side tag.

i386 removal

Some of the new packages need some work to build correctly on i386. Why
bother? Let's not build for i386 in the first place. That means, however,
that some of the packages that sit on top of them will need to be modified to
stop building for i386 as well. That is the extent of the modifications to
some of these packages (e.g., freefem++).

Since opencv and openms are both still built for i386, the packages that they
depend on (including the new asl package) must also be built for i386 for now.

Review swaps for deps needed for conda update

2023-12-02 Thread Orion Poplawski
I have a number of packages needing review that are required for the
latest round of updates to the conda package manager:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_id=2025802_id_type=anddependson=tvp_id=13378412#

I'm particularly excited by libmamba and its micromamba
package/executable as a faster/leaner replacement for conda itself.

I think I have some bandwidth now to do some reviews in exchange.

Thanks.

Thank you, Scott. Having someone familiar with cvc5 review it would be great.

Like I just told Richard, there is a thread about fixing fedora-review

Review swaps for easy Rust packages

2023-07-17 Thread Fabio Valentini
Hi all,

In order to update the "log" crate (the canonical logging facade for
Rust; packaged as rust-log) to the latest version, I need to package a
few new dependencies. Some have already been updated / built in a
rawhide side tag (f39-build-side-69898), but some are still missing. I
hope to be able to finish this update before the mass rebuild happens,
otherwise the packages will be broken.

The packages that are still pending review are very simple. They are
100% unmodified output of rust2rpm, with tests enabled, with license
files included, etc. I can offer to review similarly simple packages
(Rust, Python, CMake, meson) in return.

- rust-sval_test: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217030
- rust-sval_ref: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217032
- rust-sval_buffer: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217037
- rust-sval_fmt: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217034
- rust-serde_buf: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217023
- rust-sval_serde: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217044
- rust-value-bag-serde1: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217024
- rust-value-bag-sval2: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2217056

I'm also waiting for reviews of the missing dependencies of ntpd-rs
(an NTP implementation with NTS support written in Rust):

- rust-tower: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214392
- rust-tower-http: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214428
- rust-axum: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214429
- rust-prometheus-client: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214431

These are pretty simple packages as well, but not quite 100%
boilerplate as the sval/value-bag stuff.

I've also submitted a review for the "gimoji" application:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2214339

review swaps

2023-05-13 Thread Zbigniew Jędrzejewski-Szmek
I have a bunch of nice python packages looking for a reviewer:

#2121902 pyinstrument - Python profiler with colorful output
#2203529 blosc2 - High performance compressor optimized for binary data
#2203544 python-ndindex - Python library for manipulating indices of ndarrays
#2203546 python-blosc2 - Python wrapper for the Blosc2 compression library

The last three are for python-tables update to the latest version.

I've taken the musescore review (I haven't been able to keep up with

Review swaps

2023-03-20 Thread Jerry James
Hi all,

I am in need of some package reviews, and am happy to swap. First, I
think I have finally beaten MuseScore 4.x into good enough shape for
Fedora. This has been a months-long process. I need some font
reviews:

makemusic-finale-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2152347
edwin-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180241
leland-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180242

We currently have MuseScore in the mscore package. I have been asked
a couple of times to rename the package to musescore, to make it
easier for users to discover. Here is a rename review, while
simultaneously changing to version 4.0.2, just to make things more
complicated:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2180243

I also have a couple of simple python packages that need reviews, but
these are lower priority for me than the reviews above.

python-accessible-pygments: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2176933
python-pytest-cython: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2173018

Regards,

Review swaps

2022-12-17 Thread Mattia Verga via devel
I have filed a few package requests to get python's openapi-core into
Fedora repositories, each one depends on the previous one:

- python-pathable https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154186
  |- python-jsonschema-spec
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154188
     |- python-openapi-spec-validator
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154236
     |- python-openapi-core
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2154240

They should be all quite straightforward, I can swap some reviews in
exchange.

Review Swaps

2022-10-15 Thread Mark E. Fuller

Hi all,

I have two packages for which I'd like to offer to swap reviews:

1) Bug 2135036 - Review Request: golang-github-sajari-fuzzy
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=2135036

This is a new dependency blocking an update to one of my existing (Go)
packages. Autogenerated spec, should be a trivial review.

2) Bug 2126785 - Review Request: usbrelay
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2126785

USB-connected electrical relay control, based on hidapi

I have vaguely recalled that we have something like "indi", but I

I can review these later today. I have the following simple CMake C++ library
to swap:

iir1 - DSP IIR Realtime C++ filter library

And another CMake C++ library, Loguru, coming up soon. I will ask you about

Sympy 1.11 (review swaps)

2022-08-25 Thread Jerry James
I'm working on an update to sympy, to version 1.11. This version has
several backwards incompatible changes. I inspected the consuming
packages for use of the backwards incompatible APIs and found none.
Just in case, I did local mock builds of each one, and the builds were
all successful, including runs of their test suites. The consuming
packages are:

- python-boutdata
- python-brian2
- python-fiat
- python-nipy
- python-pysb
- python-trimesh
- sagemath

It is no longer possible to build the sympy documentation, due to
missing dependencies. However, I have already noted other packages I
maintain that need each of these. That tells me it is time to get
them into Fedora. I would like to swap reviews for the following:

- python-sphinx-basic-ng: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121593
- python-furo: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121594,
needs python-sphinx-basic-ng
- python-uc-micro-py: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121595
- python-linkify-it-py:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121596, needs
python-uc-micro-py
- python-sphinx-documatt-theme:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121597
- python-sphinx-reredirects:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2121598, needs
python-sphinx-documatt-theme

Let me know what I can review for you.

Review swaps

2022-08-22 Thread Artur Frenszek-Iwicki
Hey all,

I have two packages which have been sitting in review for some time now:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2095732
daniel-wikholm-segment16-fonts - collection of 3 font families.
Bit problematic because of missing license text, not having an official source
website, nor a way to contact the author.

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2098373
gearhead2 - an RPG game, written in Pascal, using SDL1.2.
Fairly straight-forward. The prequel, gearhead1, is already in the repos, and
the spec files are very similar.

If anyone could take a look at one of these, I'd be grateful.
I'm willing to review some C, C++, Pascal or shell stuff in return.

pari-nflistdata

pari-nflistdata

willing to swap reviews or other technical favors.

The good news is that I think quite a few of them will be generally

one of these might be a good place to start.

From a quick look, for all these packages
it seems useful to include upstream test suite
by pulling a git snapshot (common practice in PHP to workaround
the stupid .gitattributes usage)

Unbundling make sense when we can run CI (Koschei) and ensure
changes in the PHP stack (ex PHP 8.0 in F35 or 8.1 in F36) don't break

Also use range dependencies everywhere (even if a single version
packaged), this can change in the future.

I should be able to review (or help) on this set of reviews.

the PHP SIG mailing list (php-devel@...) is probably a better
place if you have any question about PHP specific packaging

Obviously, if you need something reviewed in return, I'd be happy to do
that.

Full list of links is below, but to make it easier for people
- I set up a dependency tree (
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/buglist.cgi?bug_id=1981857_id_type=anddependson=tvp_id=12016550
) so you can pick a leaf.
- I made a copr repository (
https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/lcts/nextcloud/packages/ ) that
has builds for all of these, including fedora-review/rpmlint logs (and a
big thank you to whoever made that last bit possible in Copr, that was
*extremely* useful). The repo also contains a few forks of existing
packages, ignore those :) .

Best,
Christopher

Hi all,

I have mentioned previously on this list that I want to update
ocaml-ocamlgraph to version 2.0.0. It has two consumers in Fedora:
frama-c (which is ready to move to the new version) and ocaml-dose3
(which is not).

There is a new upstream location for ocaml-dose3:
https://gitlab.com/irill/dose3. That has a version which is ready for
ocaml-ocamlgraph 2.0.0, but it needs two packages not currently
available in Fedora:

ocaml-camlbz2: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1950554
ocaml-parmap: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1950555

NeuroFedora review swaps: python-pynn and compneuro container image

2021-01-12 Thread Ankur Sinha
Hi everyone,

I'd like to get these two tickets reviewed:

- 1150105 – (python-pynn) Review Request: python-pynn -
Simulator-independent specification of neuronal network models
  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1150105

- 1913491 – Container Review Request - compneuro - The CompNeuro
container image includes commonly used neuron modelling and simulation
  tools
  https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1913491

The second one is for our self contained change:

Review swaps

2020-12-22 Thread Jerry James
I need a handful of package reviews to finish reviving the scala package:

jline2: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1908038
This is a re-review, as we have had a jline2 package before. This is
basically just the existing jline spec file with a new name, so that
the jline package can move on to version 3.x.

java-diff-utils: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1908039

jol: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1908040

material-icon-fonts: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1908042

I'm happy to review in exchange. Thank you,

Rust library and binary review swaps

2020-11-26 Thread Ed Neville
Hello,

I'm new here. Would anyone like to do a review swap for the following,
please?

The first three are dependencies for rust-pleaser. Not wanting to put
words in somebody's mouth, the set was looked at by decathorpe on
freenode/#fedora-rust, so should be at a good point.

I'll review simple packages in return as best I can :)

Re: Review swaps and advice for python / fortran / octave modules

2020-11-07 Thread Orion Poplawski

- https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1895290 (python-calcephpy)

Ideally, the python module could be built from the calceph package, but
upstream developer told me that the build from make is deprecated, so I
created the python-calcephpy package that builds from Pypi sources. This
is my first python related package and it also uses Cython to produce
architecture dependent modules, so I hope to not have made mistakes.

The main package (calceph) also carries a Fortran interface, for which
provides a .mod file in the includes directory. I'm not expert of
Fortran neither, so I assumed that the fortran interface doesn't require
the C shared libraries. (?)

No, the .mod file really is more like a compiled header file, so you
still need the library. It should be installed into %{_fmoddir} and go
into the -devel sub-package.

https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Fortran/

That package could also build an Octave module: in fact, the build
process puts some sources in %{buildroot}%{_libexecdir} that I currently
remove, since I have no idea if they're useful or if they need to be
compiled... I do not plan to use this module, so if things get
complicated I would just drop this sources.

This might help you:
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/packaging-guidelines/Octave/

though it is geared towards pure octave module packages. You could also
look at plplot as an example of something that builds an octave package
as part of a larger package with other APIs.

Aside from these questions, I'm open to swap reviews to speed up the
process.

Thanks
Mattia

I've reviewed the bottom three or four, and will continue to work my way up
from the bottom as time permits today.

I don't have any to exchange right now, but thanks for offering.

Easy Review Swaps For New Packages That Block Rust Stack Updates

2020-09-24 Thread Fabio Valentini
Hi everybody,

I've been working through open bugs in the Rust stack for the past
week, trying to contribute a few package updates. Some are, however,
blocked by new dependencies that aren't packaged yet.

These new packages are *very simple* and 99% automatically generated,
so the reviews should be easy. Below is a numbered list of packages
that are for review, which package updates they block, and how they
depend on each other.
