retiring epdfview

2013-02-14 Thread Michal Schmidt

Hello,

epdfview, a light-weight PDF viewer, is not maintained upstream anymore.
The upstream developer recommends to switch to evince-gtk (a build of
evince with minimal dependencies, requested in BZ#906121) or zathura. I
am going to retire epdfview from Fedora.

epdfview is used in Xfce and LXDE spins. The maintainers need to decide
what to do. My suggestion is to use evince-gtk once/if it becomes available.

Regards,
Michal

Hi Michal,

thanks for the heads-up.

I fully agree to your suggestion. I already packaged zathura, but it's
too minimalistic (zero mouse control, only vim keybindings) for me and
probably most other people and I decided to not submit it for review.

Kind regards,
Christoph

zathura is already packaged now. ;) But yes, I agree it's very
'minimal'.

I look forward to evince-gtk.
