We should consider flushing all of these along with frysk (or, if frysk
is still maintained, having that maintainer take these).

I'm 99% sure that all of these ancient GNOME Java bits are only being
used by frysk, and they would still be broken if I hadn't applied
copious duct tape to them twice now. But I really don't want them.

 ~tom

A bunch of gnome and freedesktop java bindings were superseded by the
java-gnome package.

If frysk is still maintained, it should be ported to use java-gnome so
we can retire the old bindings.

apel has just been renamed to emacs-apel because of the
naming guidelines. the above packages has to be rebuilt
 against emacs-apel instead of apel.

When renaming a package you would normally add a good Obsoletes/Provides
pair for the old name and drop that only after an appropriate period of
time (e.g. 2-3 dist releases). Has that been done for apel?

I believe it's just an artifact of the script that checks for requires;
if something else provides apel, we can drop the original apel package.

All these BR gdk-pixbuf-devel without actually requiring the lib. I suspect

 xqf requires gdk-pixbuf = 1:0.22.0-38.fc12

This one is also suspicious, no soname autoreq here either.
