So, it turns out that koji upstream added a 'inactivity' check.
ie, no builds tagged in or out in a timeperiod. We
Koji devs forwarded me to releng pagure, so there is a new issue for
this https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11093 .

Hi Kevin,
I've created the issue https://pagure.io/koji/issue/3554 for the problem.
I agree with docs update (maybe it would be nice as well mention the
side tag disappears once the packages are in stable, so users don't have
to try removing it :) ) and the script update (adding

However the side tag:
f38-build-side-58658
got automatically deleted, even when it had builds connected to it
already. Documentation [1] does not mention any automatic side-tags
cleanup and its deadlines.

Oh, also I forgot to mention...
If your sidetag is deleted, you can just request a new one, tag the old
builds back into it and be back in business. I realize that that could
be anoying if you told people a specific one and then had to make a new
one, but it's not like those builds are lost.
So, just to add some data... sidetags are cleaned up via a cron job that
calls:
/usr/sbin/koji-sidetag-cleanup --empty-delay=14 --old-delay=30
So, it should have only deleted it if it was empty after 14 days, but it
looks like it deleted it with things tagged into it. ;(
Would you be willing

Hi all,
I maintain qpdf in Fedora, which recently got a new major release
version, which breaks compatibility with other packages, so I created a
side tag for other maintainers to use for building, and then releasing
it altogether in rawhide.
However the side tag:
