Original netcat is obsolete, try socat or nmap-ncat.

So, I'm trying to understand what's going on with netcat. If anybody can
enlighten me, I'd appreciate it. Here's what I've found so far:
It looks like rpms/nc was retired due to being orphaned for too long. It
looks like the same thing (almost) happened to rpms/nc

I'd like to inform you about upcoming netcat 1.100 update in Rawhide (and in
F15, if everything goes well). Although, there should be no issues with this
update, please test your packages using it. This should be interesting for
