Bernie - you closed this ticket with I disabled the mesh on boot and no further incidents of this type were reported. Please - how did you disable the mesh on boot ? Like so: # enable debug for pgf # also disable mesh to see if this makes the bug go away cat

So of late, I've been wondering if my XO is approaching total failure. Help me judge, based on these symptoms:: When opening and booting the laptop, the power light and light in top left will come on... nothing else. Child boy needed to get it working. Occasionally opening the lid the same state

The symptoms you describe (power light and Mic light coming on, but nothing else) indicates that the main processor isn't executing any code. This is usually caused by one of two problems: corruption of the SPI ROM containing the boot loader or a cracked solder ball underneath the processor.
