Thanks for looking into it. I didn't had to place my hear next to the
speaker, I noticed noise coming out one day while working on it late
at night. The lack of ambient noise made it pop out.
So... 120 to 360mW. Seems worth pursuing. Should I submit the trac ticket?

I've noticed a while now that there's an off switch for the external
amplifier of the audio codec(?) that can be turned off by using
alsamixer. Sugar by default doesn't turn the amplifier off when the
sound is muted, which results in a slight hum coming from the speakers
all the time. I h
