Re: New F11 for the XO-1 Build 7

2009-09-24 Thread Steven M. Parrish
  Also included is a new Fedora-olpc-kernel repo

 Running in Terminal. Unfortunately, that repo entry fails yum
 parsing (presumably because of the * character in the repo URL).

 Had to disable that whole entry in order to be able to run yum.

There is a type in the repo file and I have fixed it locally and will be in the
next release. Until you can fix this issue by modifying the fedora-olpc-
kernel.repo file as follows.

baseurl=http://dev.laptop.org/~dilinger/olpc-2.6.30-xo1/
--includepkgs=kernel*

These need to be on seperate lines to get it to parse correctly.

Sorry bout that.

[Server-devel] noisy service dhcpd status

2009-09-24 Thread Daniel Drake
Running XS-0.6d, service dhcpd status is unusually noisy. It looks
like it is regenerating the config file every time I check its status.
Is this intentional?

# service dhcpd status
/etc /
xs-commitchanged -m 'Dirty state' dhcpd-xs.conf
#SERVERNUM := 1
#BASEDNSNAME := testxs.olenepal.org
cp /etc/sysconfig/olpc-scripts/dhcpd.conf.1 dhcpd-xs.conf.tmp
sed -i -e s/@@BASEDNSNAME@@/testxs.olenepal.org/ dhcpd-xs.conf.tmp
mv dhcpd-xs.conf.tmp dhcpd-xs.conf
xs-commitchanged -m Made from
/etc/sysconfig/olpc-scripts/dhcpd.conf. dhcpd-xs.conf
/
dhcpd (pid 3312) is running...
