My only question is whether this should be @lists.laptop.org or
@lists.sugarlabs.org. Please comment, or I will make it the latter by
default.
I think the latter makes sense, activities are meant to work with Sugar
and not the XO in particular.

I agree; even I'd like to do my project anyway (Email client). That
there is support from OLPC is very encouraging.
I just have this pesky internship requirement from my university which
has to be fulfilled this summer but hopefully OLPC would be good with
considering me a 'remote intern'
).
In other words, embrace, extend and extinguish ;-)

An idea would be to provide the standard set of letters and for each of
them also allow the user to select a vowel conjugate or make it a
half-letter. It seems reasonable to me.

I was wondering how an individual XO identifies a school server. On the
wiki I see that '...When a laptop is activated, it is associated in some
way (TBD) with a school server.
