This is now (or at least should be) fixed in F-15 and rawhide (note we've now branched in preparation for the Alpha release) so it would be great if someone could confirm that its working as expected. Unfortunately I'm travelling at the moment without access to a XO-1 to be able to test. Regards, Peter ___ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel

Thanks Peter for taking action. Just a heads up to all that this should be now fixed. A patch has gone into the appropriate package in time for the mass rebuild so we should be good to go for the Fedora 15 alpha release. Note, it won't be in rawhide until the packages from the mass rebuild get tagged into the main F-15 rawhide repo. Let me know if there's any other issues so I can escalate them as appropriate. Yes, thanks for the heads up on this, the XO-1 rawhide testing was on my todo list prior to the alpha release. I've added it as a blocker for the alpha release so we should get it fixed before then. After the last flame war over it there was an official decision by the powers that be (can't remember whether it was the Board or FESCo) that the XO-1 platform was something they wanted to support and as a result of that it should block the release. F15 glibc again fails on AMD Geode LX
FYI: Early Fedora 15 builds don't run on the Geode, again. This time, people seem to be on the issue, and may resolve it without much work from OLPC. But I think it would be worth spending some testing time to make sure it's really resolved, so the final F15 can be used as a basis for an OLPC release for the XO-1. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=579838 --- Comment #33 from Andre Robatino 2011-02-04 02:31:39 EST --- The most recent glibc.i686 build for Rawhide ( http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=215507 ) appears to have reintroduced the NOPL instruction. See http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/test/2011-February/096805.html . --- Comment #34 from Peter Robinson 2011-02-04 03:06:02 EST --- Re-opening and adding as a F15 Alpha blocker John ___ Devel mailing list Devel@lists.laptop.org http://lists.laptop.org/listinfo/devel
