Excellent sequence of pictures!
One little thing evident in the pictures but not mentioned/pointed out, is that
the rocker key is prone to come off and must be replaced before closing back
the top.

@Paul Definitely that's another good tips to take note, especially with
small and initial deployments. Also,whether it's necessary or unnecessary to
remove the screen it all depends on the level of their needs
Moving from page 14 to page 15 of the XO_Disasembly_(Top).pdf file shows
the aspect ratio of the photographs has not been maintained ... the
lower image shows the XO as taller on page 15.

i've taken a lot of XO laptops apart, and i've almost _never_ found it
necessary to remove the screen completely. the two ribbon connectors
that connect the screen and the backlight have a limited lifetime and
should not be opened and closed needlessly. unless you're planning on
removing the moth

Nice set of photographs and narrative.
It might be useful to mention at the top of the document the type and number of
screws. At each step where a screw is removed or replaced that type and size
of screw should be called out.
Where it mentions cable disconnection and cable connection it
These are very nice. It would be nice to add a line at the top
describing what tools he uses.
