I have a couple of hours this weekend to help the project and I was
thinking to close some trivial bumps / package requests / bumblebee or
VAAPI VDPAU stuff if needed. Should I just stop?

Since you mention it, I think the blue youtube videos problem is related
to vdpau. I've had it on more than one PC, and I temporarily solved it
by disabling video acceleration for flash.
I found various workarounds, other than that. This one for example seems

I noticed that gnumeric wasn't working:

Ran deptest, no problems were found there, so I ran libtest:

Bumping app-office/gnumeric x11-libs/goffice and x11-libs/gksu in main
Hopefully resolves the issue.
