You don't want to edit files, you want to systemctl enable lxdm and
systemctl start lxdm.
Is that worthy writing down in our wiki?
I couldn't test systemd yet, so no experience.

I couldn't test systemd yet, so
The daily XFCE hasn't boot properly in the last 3 weeks. I figured as we
switched over to systemd it would work out eventually, but posting anyway.
XFCE boots up to the XMD login box, which is a weird looking box, I don't
recall ever seeing this.
I check the /etc/conf.d/xdm and display manager
I want to stress this is a live session
to repeat
download xfce daily iso
create a live usb with iso
boot it
expected results - XFCE desktop
actual results - XDM login box

I can confirm this. xdm should have lightdm setup after (or while) the
sabayon-live functions are running. I will again try a boot this night and
check if it's set right.

I will have a look at this as soon as possible.
I am busy until after the 6th.

Well, of course it werks if you execute lxdm manually, that's for sure. And
also, the drivers are set correctly and it works out of the box if you boot.
