As Mitch said, IRC burnout is very real. I cannot myself stay on IRC 24/7 or real-time answer to people on IMs or social networks. It's not working, as wolfden pointed out. Everybody can be busy doing other things and preemption (:D) in this case just doesn't work. I completely agree with the
