Guys,
I'm experiencing tons of issues related to WiFi recently, and I
discovered that with this commit:
https://git.sabayon.org/overlays/sabayon.git/commit/?id=c6651ab07f1069807778b2559a4d1e5dbb95ee62
b43 was resurrected. This led to poor connection stability, and issues
with WPA2Enterprise/PEAP.
In my team there's a sabayon user that's having problems with b43 and
another one that's having probs with wl. Funny fact is that 'wl' works for
both after some teasing of the modules, but b43 still has issues.

The problem is exactly that, it seems that nowadays, b43 works better
with some BCM hardware while wl works better with others. The problem
is that wl is proprietary and it tends to break badly with new
kernel releases.

Can I ask you on which hardware did you test? I have various Broadcom
adapters, wl works very well with every one, b43 works only with some,
and it *never* does WPA2E/PEAP.
I agree b43 should be our first choice if functionality is pretty the
same, but that's not the case in my tests.
