The path must be set relative to the directory, where your qml file is.
For example, if your project structure is like:
project/
qml/Cover.qml
qml/...
images/my_pic.png
...
your path in the qml-file should be ../images/my_pic.png

I use sailfish-qml to start my PyOtherSide/QML application.
If I placed my qm-translation files in a folder called translations like
"-.qm" in "/usr/share//translations/" everything works
until 2.1.1.24, but now translation is broken.
