Maintenance completed, Jenkins is up and running.
Updates to the core and plugins were installed this time.

As always - if you see any issues please report them to Jira.

[ovirt-devel] planned Jenkins restart

2019-03-27 Thread Evgheni Dereveanchin
Hi everyone,

I'll be performing a planned Jenkins restart within the next hour.
No new jobs will be scheduled during this maintenance period.
I will inform you once it is over.

It is very hard to say because we are depending on Libvirt implementation
and API.
We are hoping that the design that described in [1] is solid but we can't
guarantee it.

Probably wrong idea, but worth to ask:
Any ideas which ssh_timeout is used or how to modify?

If 100 tries including a time.sleep(1) takes 100 seconds,
either the timeout is not the expected 10 seconds, or the guest refuses
the connection.

[ovirt-devel] Re: Question regarding support of incremental backups in 4.3.?

2019-03-27 Thread Tentaclius
Hi Eyal,

thanks a lot for you answer.

Could you please clarify one more thing: is it safe for us, as developers
of a loosely related product, to assume the currently described design for
the incremental backup is stable enough?
In other words, can we start developing incremental backup support in our
product relying on the oVirt's Incremental Backup published design
documents and hope there will not be any drastic changes?
If there are any estimate time of when the feature will become available,
that would be much appreciated!

Thanks again.

P.S. Sorry for my duplicated first message, I didn't realize there is a
delay before it becomes visible in the list.

Regards,
Anton.

I think since its a race ( and we've seen failures on this test in the
past, also a race I think ), its probably hard to reproduce locally.
Also, we probably need to make sure the same Libvirt version is used.
The upstream servers are quite old, it can also be local run ends up being
faster and not hitting the same issues ( as we've seen in the past )

Could it be a bug in the ssh client ( paramiko? )

Barak,Gal,Galit, Evgheni - any thoughts on something on infra that can
cause this? ( other than slow servers )

We are currently working on implementing the other parts of this feature

Yes, this is correct.

The development for this feature already begun and part of it (what you see
in the engine) is already visible.
We are currently working on implementing the other parts of this feature
(vdsm / image-IO etc).

So currently, you can call the REST-API calls but they will do nothing.
