I have found two repeatable crashes on my system running 4.3.0 and a
stock mga driver. One is a crash when the server is unable to load the
mga_hal module for a dualhead setup that requires it; apparently it does
not gracefully fall out and the entire system locks up. Another is when
my server has been up for a few days, any mode change or VT switch will
suddenly cause a complete system hang. I think this is again due to
a crash. The problem is that when using a static debug server, neither
of these problems is happening.

Is it a usually effective approach to build a loadable debug server?
Are there any special tricks needed to debug module problems under such
a setup?

I am also curious if there are any hooks that the server uses to restore
the video hardware into a sane state when it receives a fatal signal.
If it exists, apparently this is not working correctly on mga; these
server crashes should not be resulting in system hangs.
