Re: 2020 Datacenter Move: Request for comments

2019-10-15 Thread Brian (bex) Exelbierd
I've added about 20 more talks and I believe that the talks are now all
public. There are a few left in the "bex review" bucket that are not
properly labeled. This may mean the talk didn't get recorded properly.

I am sorry for the delays.

Making it public is just a `cosmetic` change IMO, as the `Flock 2019` list is
public. But maybe it enhances visibility(searchability?) also.

CCing Bex for comments. ;)

The ones in this list should be listed. There are about 22 videos still to be
reviewed for final clearance. I am in 2 weeks of f2f meetings so i am trying
to get to them ASAP.

Looking at the fedora youtube channel and the playlist, *all videos

Fabio
This could explain, why I got notification only for Fedora Flatpaks
video, when I'm subscribed to Fedora Channel on Youtube.

An excellent question!

Basically the answer is that it's still to be determined.
We may just ship it before the main move, so it would be down for
shipping time + racking/deracking, etc. It might be we could just move
it to another cluster in the cloud... in which case it would be
unaffected by the move except for a small migration window sometime to
move all the existing apps to the new cluster.

We will definitely share plans for that as they are finalized.

Well, I guess it's kind of not decided yet there.
It depends on where we move copr off to. If it moves to the communishift
setup, then it will be unavailable during the time that moves. If we
move it to the cloud(tm), it should not be affected by the move.

I guess the big question is how much downtime is ok for copr?
It's used by a lot of groups for a lot of things, but perhaps it could
be down to move hardware?

Communishift is the OpenShift cluster that Infra runs for
