I've no idea what's going on here. I checked a random package containing
a manpage with a dot in its name, i.e. e2fsprogs and rpmlint says:
e2fsprogs.x86_64: W: no-manual-page-for-binary mkfs.ext4

when clearly it exists:

$ rpm -qf /usr/share/man/man8/mkfs.ext4.8.gz
e2fsprogs-1.47.3-2.fc43.x86_64

A bug in rpmlint, I'd say.

Which files in particular are flagged by this error?


All the man pages for config files, e.g. "mfschunkserver.cfg.5", which, of course, goes into 
"man5", but lint says it's wrong and wants it to go into "mancfg"...
