Please provide the pointers if you would be so kind. I don't think spell checkers of either type are likely to be used for early writers. When young children are taught to write (when learning to write and read) in US classrooms, they are encouraged not to obsess over the spelling of each word.

Just now (with olpc-update while using 2577) installed joyride-2579 on my XO, and booted it. To my surprise my XO went into suspend when left without input - file /etc/ohm/inhibit-suspend was absent. But going to the 2579 graphic control panel - it shows both power checkboxes UNmarked.

I got the bare image working in virtualbox. Btw, if I had to do it again I'd start with an image that already has the activities installed: http://download.laptop.org/xo-1/custom/g1g1/gg-767-4/ I downloaded this but Virtualbox says it is not bootable. Is this perhaps not ext3 filesystem?
