It does cost something important: we cannot release something that we don’t 
support. If we do then we’re doing a bad job (i.e. not ensuring quality).

So if we really want to keep it, it should not come from the XWiki dev team but 
be moved to a contrib project or the attic for example, and not be something 
official.
