[Dhis2-devs] J2SE Code Names
hi, Please have a look on official code names of different flavors of JAVA. Its so nice, every one have specific code name. http://java.sun.com/j2se/codenames.html But i am surprised why sun had decided to put TIGER as a official code name of J2SE 5.0. Re: [Dhis2-devs] J2SE Code Names
I'm not sure these codenames have some well known logic to them... they are just names which someone thought was an interesting name... obviously good trivia to know the reason for the name That list does not have Java 6 (codename Mustang) and upcoming Java 7 (codename Dolphin)... Probably the java forums are a better place to ask the question and get an answer to the reasons for the code names than DHIS2 devs list :-) --- Regards, Saptarshi PURKAYASTHA Director R D, HISP India Health Information Systems Programme My Tech Blog: http://sunnytalkstech.blogspot.com You Live by CHOICE, Not by CHANCE On 21 February 2010 14:20, Brajesh Murari brajesh2mur...@gmail.com wrote: hi, Please have a look on official code names of different flavors of JAVA. Re: [Dhis2-devs] J2SE Code Names
We should follow some conventions about it and should fix certain specific code name for each release of DHIS 2 onwards. After all, if we are probably going to approach it in each release as a steep to make it an expert system in near future which is an ongoing process. And if we have not started thinking about it yet, does not mean we should not. :) On Mon, Feb 22, 2010 at 12:43 AM, Jason Pickering jason.p.picker...@gmail.com wrote: Jeez, we have enough work, do we really need a code name?
