[Dhis2-devs] unable to edit a program stage instance (re-published)

2018-05-21 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Dear All,

Our team is facing a problem with editing some program stage instances that
are open (not completed) and their enrollment is not completed.

I am superuser and usually I am able to edit any instance but I still can’t
edit these ones even after clearing browser cache, deleting cookies, logging
in from incognito browsing, different computer, different internet network…

My best guess is that someone else might be editing that instance which is
causing other users to not be able to edit it.

Have you faced similar problems?

Any idea how to solve it?

Ou current workaround: We are forcefully creating a new instance with the
same data and deleting the old instance; this solution is not really
sustainable since we are facing similar cases 10-15 times in the same day.

Here’s a screenshot:

Looking forward to hearing about your experience in this.

All the best,

Bernard

[Dhis2-devs] Scripts for import of TEI and events

2018-06-13 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Dear All,

I added my comment on webmaster this morning with regards to the
availability of scripts that could help importing of TEIs into DHIS2
(https://webmasters.stackexchange.com/questions/106521/importing-beneficiary
-records-into-dhis2-tracker-from-excel ) and I was wondering if any of you
have such scripts available.

I have searched without success the resources available at:
https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-utils/tree/master/resources

What I would like to achieve is: We have spreadsheets of the extracted data
from the HIS of our supported PHCCs and we would like to import these into
our DHIS2 (both TEI and events). While event import is available, the TEI is
not (at least not to my knowledge)

It could really be of great value to our work to be able to do this import
(even if through the API) hence some guidance is appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help.

All the best,

Bernard

[Dhis2-devs] Asked a new DHIS2 question on webmasters.stackexchange.com

2018-05-03 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Hello all,

I find the previously shared webmasters.stackexchange.com a good place to
build DHIS Q knowledge base, therefore I asked my own question:

 “How can we
edit a Program Stage Instance that is not marked as completed but DHIS2
doesn't allow to edit it?”

Appreciate if any of you know the answer, but please answer it on the
platform ;)

Thank you in advance.

All the best,

Bernard

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Using program rule expressions in Program indicator expressions

2018-02-11 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Thank You Markus,

I started following the 2 issues and voted for them.

As for (X*100)%100 , it returns the first 2 digits after the comma, therefore
the expression mentioned earlier would have simulates a rounding function if
the parenthesis were processed correctly as mentioned in the JIRA issue ;)

Thank you again for the support.

Bernard

Hi again Bernard,

it seems that the problem you experience might be caused by the presence of
parenthesis in the expression inside your d2:condition. This is a bug, and can
be followed up here: https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-2813

If you are able to write your expression without parenthesis, this is a
workaround that you can use.

The general implementation of new functions in program indicators is followed
up in jira issues, but there was none covering the mathematical functions you
need here, so I created one that you can look at:
https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-2814

Please complement or comment, and consider voting for it :)

Best regards,

Markus

P.S. won't X*100%100 always be 0?

Hello Markus,

Thank you for the list and explanation; is there any expected timeline for
that? (JIRA issue, I can track?)

With regards to the number of decimals, even if set to zero at the program
indicator and after running the analytics, the “pivot table” still shows the
digits.

Regarding the expression, yes it is true, I’m rounding the constants, because I
am actually creating a budget report and applying a discount rate on the
individual cost of a specific PHCC activity and aggregating them using sum (so
I am using one constant per cost of a PHCC activity and another for discount
rate of all activities). I ended up using exact values in the constant instead
of a discounted factor; after all, changing a discount factor is easier than
changing 200 values individually when the discount rate changes. The reason for
all this, is that with a discounted factor there is a need to round the values
and disallow them to be cumulated in the sum of the aggregation in order to
keep the report error free.

Hope the above explains my usecase: aggregating the data elements of a TEI and
multiplying them by a cost constant and a discount factor. And yes the round
functions in this case would be very beneficial.

Thank you again for your support.

All the best,

Bernard

Unfortunately we are not there yet, and the list of supported functions in

Where did you get the wrong number of decimals? In the Pivot or in the
Tracker/Event capture?

One question on your expression below, it seems you are trying to round off a
constant from your defined constant values? Your use case I would have guessed
is to round off a data element or tracked entity attribute value?

Best regards

[Dhis2-devs] Support for Time and DateTime

2018-02-13 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Hello guys,

Maybe this was already tackled before, but apparently, in my 2.28 instance,
the Support for Time and DateTime is working in the “maintenance” app but
not in the “event capture” app (didn’t test the tracker capture app).

I have checked JIRA and found this one as solved in 2.28:
https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-2088

Is there a way to reopen it? Was it only solved for another app? Am I
missing something?

Thank you again for the support.

Subject: [Dhis2-users] Using program rule expressions in Program indicator
expressions

Can anyone tell me why I can’t use program rule expressions in Program
indicator expressions?

Functions like ceil, floor, round and others are very useful.

Also I tried to use the “Decimals in data output” in the program indicator
details, it didn’t work.

Also I tried to simulate the round function using conditional modulo
subtraction/addition (the pivot table keeps trying to load) :

C{eB6eQXKY8HA}*C{xGZ2I9aTeXX} -(C{eB6eQXKY8HA}*C{xGZ2I9aTeXX}*100) % 100 +
d2:condition('(C{eB6eQXKY8HA}*C{xGZ2I9aTeXX}*100) % 100 >=50',1,0)

Thank you in advance.

Please advise.

All the best,

Bernard

Hello guys,

Maybe this was already tackled before, but apparently, in my 2.28 instance, the
Support for Time and DateTime is working in the “maintenance” app but not in
the “event capture” app (didn’t test the tracker capture app).

I have checked JIRA and found this one as solved in 2.28:
<https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-2088>

Is there a way to reopen it? Was it only solved for another app? Am I missing
something?

Thank you again for the support.

[Dhis2-devs] outstanding but important and urgent bug

2018-08-24 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Dear developers team,

In Apr 2018 I reported the bellow bug, which denies us from putting some
dates where the corresponding date and time does not exist due to daylight
saving.

While this is not very disruptive to our operations, it has become a major
source of wrong data, because in order to be able to enter the data, we are
choosing a different date (usually 1 day before or after).

Do you think you can have a look at it?

https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-3329

I have just escalated its priority to highest.

Thank you in advance for the hard work!

[Dhis2-devs] Upgrade from 2.28 to 2.29 to 2.30: ALTER TABLE public.relationshipitem OWNER to dhis;

2018-09-07 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Dear All,

I did upgrade from 2.28 to 2.29 checked everything was working well

then upgraded from 2.29 to 2.30 checked everything was working well too.

few weeks later i did the same as above but upgrading from 2.29 to 2.30 had
this error: ERROR: permission denied for relation relationshipitem

so i ran this psql query and everything was ok: ALTER TABLE
public.relationshipitem OWNER to dhis;

Is this a problem in the upgrade script? is the ownership of the table
possibly not handled in the upgrade script?

The problem is solved for now for me, but I am sharing if this could
improved somehow.

Bernard

Dear All,

I created a dashboard and made it available externally. How can I find the
URL for that Dashboard?

Does the dashboard itself becomes available for the external viewers? Or
only via the API?

I tried to use the URLs:

* /dhis-web-dashboard-integration/index.html?id=QrdYXtKt2e6

* /api/dashboards/QrdYXtKt2e6

* /api/dashboards/QrdYXtKt2e6.json

I can share the individual items of the dashboard using:
/api/26/charts/gk5bXuhH7DL/data.html+css but then shouldn’t there be a
similar url for the dashboard?

I can also try and create an external html page with each of the charts’
external URL, but I do believe that the share dashboard externally should
allow this, no? please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you for your help in advance.

[Dhis2-devs] Custom colors for pivot and charts

Is it possible to customize the color of the pivot table rows as well as the

the pivot rows/columns as well as in the chart.

Advice appreciated.

Assuming you are running 2.28, can you try running this query on your command

Expecting that one of the lines output is:

Re: [Dhis2-devs] 2.29 upgrade script error

2018-03-09 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Hello Markus,

Unfortunately I don’t have that table:

dhisdb=# \dt userrole*

 List of relations

Schema |   Name| Type  | Owner

+---+---+---

public | userrole  | table | dhis

public | userroleauthorities   | table | dhis

public | userroledataset   | table | dhis

public | userrolemembers   | table | dhis

public | userroletranslations  | table | dhis

public | userroleuseraccesses  | table | dhis

public | userroleusergroupaccesses | table | dhis

(7 rows)

Is there any maintenance scripts I need to run in order to create that table?

All the best,

Bernard

Hi there Bernard,

that was strange - your 2.28 database should have contained the table
userroleprogram.

Assuming you are running 2.28, can you try running this query on your command
line?

\dt userrole*

Expecting that one of the lines output is:

public | userroleprogram   | table | dhis

[Dhis2-devs] org unit in program variable/rule

2018-04-10 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Hello all,

Is there a way to get the organization unit as a program variable and/or use
it in the program rules?

My usecase is that I want to use the program rule to create a unique value
based on:

* The PHCC (org unit)

* The family number

* The individual number

Thanks in advance for the help.

[Dhis2-devs] 2 Urgent bugs

2018-04-09 Thread Bernard Sadaka (IM Advisor)
Dear All,

We are facing a bit of an issue with some bugs on DHIS 2.28 (most are on
JIRA), however 2 are extremely urgent and render our work very difficult:

* WeeklySunday period labels wrong pattern:
https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-2371  (since 15 Oct 2017) but also
duplicated here:  https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-3112

* Downloading completed events in events report downloads
everything: https://jira.dhis2.org/browse/DHIS2-3357

We would be really thankful if someone can have a look.

Thank you in advance for your invaluable help.

Re: [Dhis2-devs] [Dhis2-users] Error when upgrading DHIS2 from 2.29 to 2.30 - relationships

Did the sql fix your issues or are you still having issues? The superuser and
ownership is a tricky challenge since we dont know the name of the user, but
aside from the postgis extension, the upgradescript should be runnable as a
non-superuser if I remember correctly.

On Mon, Sep 17, 2018 at 12:36 PM Bob Jolliffe mailto:bobjolli...@gmail.com> > wrote:

Good point Bernard.

Interestingly this is the reverse problem to that of creating the postgis
extension. You have to be a superuser role in the database to create the
postgis extension in the database. But ...

If you have run the upgrade script from
https://github.com/dhis2/dhis2-releases/blob/master/releases/2.30/upgrade-230.sql
 as a superuser (eg postgres) then you are going to be left with two new tables
(and a function?) owned by the postgres user.

So you should, in fact, have to do afterwards both:

ALTER TABLE public.relationshipitem OWNER to dhis;

ALTER TABLE public.relationshipconstraint OWNER to dhis;

Which is a little messy :-) But hard to figure the neatest way around because
we cannot know in advance the name of the dhis db user.

Cheers

Hi everyone,

I am trying to upgrade a DHIS2 instance from 2.29 to 2.30. I have done this on

"permission denied for relation relationshipconstraint"

2. I can not seem to open any tracker programs in tracker capture (the log
error says "permission denied for relation relationshipitem")

Has anyone encountered this error? Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks
