Re: [Dhis2-users] [WISCENTDs] Program indicators
Hi Grout and Markus, Thanks for bringing the issues again. After the release and utilization of "Age" data value Type, we had a discussion about the challenges of not being usable in Analytic simply because program indicator expression don't recognize it. This was reported in JIRA. Markus regards to: "It turned out there is a small problem with the expression validator, but the program indicator should still work. A fix is checked in for the , please let me know if the indicator does not work" It doesn't work for me. I think the community shall benefit a lot if the useful "Age" data value type can be supported on Analytics Best Regards On Tuesday, November 14, 2017 10:41 PM, Markus Bekkenwrote: Hi Lise!1. There is a program rule action type that is called "Display text" and another one called "Display key value pair" that is used to show a dynamic text in your program. The dynamic text can be a program rule variable, and in configuring this variable you can choose wether you want it to contain code or name for option sets. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Teenage Pregnancy DataSet for Schools
Gerald, OK, so there is no intention or requirement to track and analyze such data per school, then. If the idea is simply to somehow store a list of schools from where the data originates, and assuming that you are collecting it per chiefdom and per month, I would rather change the data element you have already created into a long text field. Capturers can then add school names in there, separated by a semi-colon or similar delimiter. Just make sure everybody understands that if the data per chiefdom per month has not already been aggregated in the input form, then such aggregation must be done manually during data entry. Note also that you do have one other possibility, and that is to treat each school report received as an event - or in other words you set this up as an Event Program - without registration, presumably - where the school itself it the entity. Re: [Dhis2-users] Data Element Version??
I think of the numbers are small you are best just to maintain two different dataelementgroups of datalements with names/codes which are related. I don't think this is really a versioning problem as you describe it. Unless you are planning to go on and make more versions. It is similar to the problem of comparing aggregate reported data with data which has been aggregated from an EMR. Failing which, the attributeoptioncombo or categoryoptioncombo is the only other dimension you do have to play with if you want to tag the same dataelements differently. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Teenage Pregnancy DataSet for Schools
Dear Calle, Thanks for your response. That was what i told the partners but their budget didn't permitted them and they didn't have names for all the schools. How does comments works on DataSet? Because we can use the option of comments to tag names to a particular Data Entry because the name of the schools are for reference purposes. Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Teenage Pregnancy DataSet for Schools
Gerald, I would not recommend using the standard HMIS for school health - it would give you minimal control and reporting capabilities per school. In South Africa, school health is captured into a separate DHIS2 database where the hierarchy ends with schools and not health facilities (although each school might store a reference health facility, of course). All the ~30,000 schools in the country is part of that orghierarchy, and we generally try to get annual data for the number of learners (pupils) per grade, which you can then use as denominator data to get coverage indicators. You COULD of course add the schools into the HMIS orghierarchy, but IMHO that is rather messy - better to use a separate database Regards Calle On 15 November 2017 at 08:30, gerald thomaswrote: > Dear All, > I created a Teenage Pregnancy dataSet whose data should be captured > from schools.
