Hi,

PostGIS requirement is 2.2 or later.
AFAIK, this will still be the case for 2.31.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Any open source GIS/map database tools other than DHIS2

2017-06-21 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi,

I would highly recommend QGIS, which is the leader among open source GIS -
well documented and lots of tutorials available.

http://www.qgis.org/

We will soon support data export from DHIS2 to other GIS applications like
QGIS (GeoJSON-format), so it's a nice tool to learn :-)

Re: [Dhis2-users] DHIS2 2.24 GIS layer sequence

2017-02-20 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi,

This bug is now fixed for DHIS 2.24 and above. You only need to upgrade to
the latest revison if you're using Thematic Layer 3 & 4 and have troubles
with the layer ordering.

We're also working on a more flexible layer ordering for the upcoming DHIS
2.27.

Hi Mahbubul,

Google Maps have changed policies and this is fixed in DHIS 2.23 and above.
I would advice you to upgrade your DHIS 2 instance, as there are several
new GIS features in 2.23, 2.24 and 2.25 - and the upcoming 2.26. If you
still need to use DHIS 2.21, you can use the OpenStreetMap basemap.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] GIS failing to load in 2.25

2016-10-31 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi Jose,

I've applied a fix, so please check the latest version of DHIS 2.25.

The error was due to missing infrastructural indicators and infrastructural
data elements, which is no longer required for the GIS app to start.

The functionality in GIS app is of course still limited if you have an
empty database.

Thanks for reporting.

You should still be able to relocate facilities if you right-click the
markers:

Is the option not available on your DHIS 2 installation?

Re: [Dhis2-users] quick GIS question - Heatmap from events

2016-08-18 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi Craig,

No we don't support heat maps in DHIS 2, but you have the clustering option
available from DHIS 2.23.

If you're a SQL wizard, you can export your event data from your database,
and create a heat map in another application. If in high demand, we could
make it easier to export geographic data from DHIS 2 to applications like
QGIS, Carto etc.

We could also add heatmap support to DHIS 2
<http://leaflet.github.io/Leaflet.heat/demo/>, but it will be limited to
the amount of features your browser can handle. How many events do you
have?

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] signing up for google earth engine for dhis

2016-08-07 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi Calle,

Yes, you need to attach the service account to a project - we will update
the documentation about this.

If you already have a Google account, click on this link:
https://console.developers.google.com/iam-admin/projects

Click on "Create project" and name the project.

When the project is created (it takes around 30 seconds), click on this
link:
https://console.developers.google.com/iam-admin/serviceaccounts/serviceaccounts-zero

You should now be able to select the project you just created, and create
your service account.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Default Dashboard map providers

2016-07-25 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi Frank,

I've now made "OSM Light" the default basemap for both DHIS 2.23 and 2.24,
and named it "OpenStreetMap". For 2.25 we'll look for an additional basemap
provider with a more detailed look (maybe Stamen Terrain which is not yet
launched globally <http://www.cartotalk.com/index.php?showtopic=9941>). You
can also use the basemaps from Google, but it will decrease the performance
of the DHIS 2 GIS app.

Please notify me if you run into any other mapping problems!

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Default Dashboard map providers

2016-07-14 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi,

I'm not able to reproduce this in 2.24, so please upgrade to the latest
DHIS 2 version if you can.

I'll fix this for 2.23 next week. We will also replace the nonworking
MapQuest map with another provider.

Re: [Dhis2-users] [Dhis2-devs] Analyzing Yes/No values GIS

2016-06-03 Thread Bjørn Sandvik
Hi Pamod,

This seems to be a current limitation of the system that we'll try to fix
for the 2.24 release.
