Hi Markus,

I think what Stanley is trying to express here, applies to all about good
features that  our end-users are familiar with, and  which get disappeared
from version to versions.  In the older versions, an end-user at higher
Orgunit might list all TEI  recorded simply by selecting specific OU. From
this list he/she can immediately opt to list all, active enrollment,
completed , etc depending on what is needed for further analysis without
passing through Event reports app.

We have received the same complaints from program using Tracker based
systems. Because this way of listing TEI is quick  and i would advocate if
you can explore the possibility of activating again.

On the other hand, i need to hear from the community regarding  DHIS 2.29
if the Event report  app is generating tables with cases based data
captured after upgrading. My tracker system is misbehaving after upgrading
to 2.29, the Event reports app is no aggregating cases reported after
upgrade while the scheduled  analytics seems to run correctly . Has it
reported or someone has hint?

Hi Dave,
We have extended out disk  and increase the RAM. I think it's no longer
disk or memory space.
postgres is located on separate server and hosts databases for other
instances on 2.28 with which analytics are  perfectly running.
I have removed existing war file and redeploy a fresh new as suggested . I
am still exploring if there are not other jobs interfering ! I have stopped
scheduler analytics job but there re still other builtin ones in 2.29 like
resource file, credentials still active as it set on demo? do i have stop
these also?

Hi,
Can someone assist on how to deal with this error message  "Could not save
data set (Invalid reference [e1sXdbpUsU7] (DataElementCategoryCombo) on
object Chronic Diseases [NXTpxbBK5lf] (DataSet) for association
`categoryCombo`.) " while trying to save the edited data set?

I am running instance on 2.28 with Build revision: a5da35f and Build date:

We have datasets with expiry days, and we have changed it to 0 to allow
data managers to updated reports. afterwards we want reset it and save, and
system complains of finding reference id. It happens also while someone

[Dhis2-users] Display front page list not working

Hi Does anybody knows reasons?
We used to have in the previous versions, the list of all reported cases at
the national level, line-listed on the front page after selecting org unit.
After upgrading our tracker to 2.29  this functionality is there by can
only list cases uniquely for reporting units  not to higher orgunits.  This
functionality helps to immediately at national level  know the number of
active, complete, cancelled enrollments of cases  without passing through
event reports.

Is it no-longer supported or there are sharings need to be made?

[Dhis2-users] Issue with event report not list all notified cases

Hi,
Need help to find out why my  event report is not listing all cases
registered. From the OU front-page display in can simply list all 593
notified cases from the Eastern Province   however from the event report
(event data)  the system can only list 45 cases .  From the console here is
the error message:

Dear Sujan,
Here in Rwanda, we have implemented TB and MDR TB tracking systems in
DHIS2, collecting  summarized patient level data to generate quarterly
forms but when it comes to delete records for different reasons into this
multi-stages system we re also having hard time to delete recorded data.
dhis2.25 has an option of deleting cases reported and through Data
administration-Maintenance  you can "Permanently remove soft deleted data
values" , for some case it works  and if i am not mistaken you delete
records one by one, you can't select a list of records  and delete them once

Dear Gerald,
This could be also related to your tomcat version, we had the similar issue
here in Rwanda with data visualizer, pivot and event report apps not
loading after upgrading to dhis 2.24. We have upgraded to our tomcat from
7.052  to  7.0.68 and it worked.

Please trace back Bob,Lars, and Jason discussion on the tomcat version for
the new dhis2 releases.

We have simply upgraded our instance from 2.23 to 2.24. What i realized
also is the unending loading of dataset list while trying also to edit a
user role  to assign newly created forms to user role. Logs displays the
same message:

Hi
Can someone assist me on this issue?

I am running a dhis 2.23 version, but recently we have upgraded our
postgresql from 9.3 to  9.5. I don't know if i can attribute it to this
upgrade, but trying to load event report/visualizer  and data visualizer
apps, i can't open the apps . the system keeps on  loading...  Here
follows the the web console  screenshot and the message  displayed in the
logs

We had HMIS system with 6 Org levels (National, Province, District, Sub
district, Sector,  facilities) running the version 2.20. The approval was
working fine, users at province level could  approve/ unapprove data  from
facilities of respective provinces. The constraints in this version was
that a person couldn't approve for individual reporting unit, it was done
once for all facilities under a province, but the it was working fine and
lock data.

However after upgrading to 2.23,  the approval couldn't lock data  for
reporting unit, rather it locks data for  upper levels excluding reporting
facility. ie the data manager can still change data freely.

checking from the settings, we realized that for every data set the system
has created and assign workflow with identical dataset name together with
Province as approval level only.

Reading from the doc, for the dataset to be approved in same time they have
to be assigned to the the same  workflow. I did that but while testing it
this message is displayed " Approval status: Waiting for lower levels to
approve"  while the workflow assigned to it  has Prov, sub district and
facilities  as approval levels.

What we want is to have user at province level to approve  data from
facilities under his supervision  and has possibilities to unlock data for
specific dataset in given reporting unit



Has any one experienced this  situation or someone who can provide a hint
 on how to set this approval?

We had a running TB patients tracking instance on 2.21 and we recently
upgraded to dhis2.23. Here is how the system is set:

After upgrading, the aggregate side works fine we can use data sets and
logo-banner image is displayed correctly,  however  in the tracker capture
we can't register a new patient (save and continue). The system pops up a
registration error message "Could not encrypt data, indicates a
configuration issue".
Checking from web console i can't figure out how to deal with the error.

Where can some one get old dhis2 war files  and upgrades notes especially
the .sql files released for updgrade  in case i want to upgrade step by
step from version to another till i reach the current to avoid jumping to
recent version.
Is direct jump to recent eg from 2.18 to 2.4  a best practices? if not what
should the best practices?

[Dhis2-users] Tracker capture app not loading on dhis2.23

Dear all,

I am upgrading my local instance on ubuntu 14.04LTS from dhis2.22 to 2.23.
The server seems to start correctly , i can use other apps  but when i
 tried to access tracker capture app it stops and doesn't show anything up.

Checking from Developer tools  here is what it displays this error message
from console:

[Dhis2-users] dhis2 2.20 War file fail to be executed:SEVERE: Error configuring application listener of class org.hisp.dhis.system.startup.StartupListener

Hi there,

I am trying to install a training server on ubuntu 14.04  with a recent
 2.20 war file on a laptop. When i browser the nginx works fine but when i
include the full path to my test instance it fails to run.

Checking from the catalina logs file i realize that the system had severe
error.Can someone guide me how to deal with it? Here is the log details

Hi,
I am having hard time loading event capture  on the new instance on server.
The system normally works fine on another server running 2.17 but when i
restore the back up to another server, all other functions (event report,
pivot report, reports, data entry etc) are working fine excluding event
capture.
Could you please provide a hint and the root causes

Using ngRoute

In AngularJS 1.2.0 and later, ngRoute has been moved to its own module. If
you are getting this error after upgrading to 1.2.x or later, be sure that
you've installed ngRoute https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ngRoute.
Monkey-patching Angular's ng module

This error can also occur if you have tried to add your own components to
the ng module. This has never been supported and from1.3.0 it will actually
trigger this error. For instance the following code could trigger this
error.

Instead create your own module and add it as a dependency to your

[Dhis2-users] How does Dnumber of days works

Hi,
i am trying to create this calculated data element Potential Number of
hospitalization days(Beds x days in month) using Beds as data element
and D  to formulate the the numerator but it's not calculating  the
value. Any help on how this works, i couldn't find any related info the
manual.

[Dhis2-users] How to set up Mydatamart and dhis-live 2.5

Hi all,
I am trying to set up  dhis-live 2.5 instances to facilitate practices of
the regional data managers while at home, any idea on how to use
mydatamart  to extract data into a excel  pivot table? i tried this URL
http://127.0.0.1:8080/dhis but in vain, the system pops up a massage of
wrong URL.
