I am new to this list, I need to make a Dia plugin for my company, so I
begin by compiling Dia in the environment it will be working.
I am actually having a hard time to run the Dia I compiled, I used the
packages listed here :

Is there an rpm installation available for dia?
Most Linux distributions like Red Hat or SuSE should come with
a dia RPM. If not, please check the download sites of your distribution.

Well, I used the instructions you made to compile with win32, it works fine
to compile Dia, maybe some includes or lib path to add (If there are, I wrote
that down somewhere...), packages to put in the right place but that's fine
to compile Dia.

The below extract from Bugzilla suggests the possibility of moving to
GTKUImanager.
The API describes GtkUIManager as Constructing menus and toolbars from an
XML description.
I'm just wondering if we were to move to an XML system for the user
interface why not go the next step and use Glade like

Hello, I started using Dia a little big ago. I really like it a lot,
and would love to continue using it, but I am having issues with
random crashes.
Dia crashes on me quite often. Sometimes I am able to go for nearly
half an hour without a crash, but usually they are more in the 5-10
minute time
