A little more information about the errors and warning that are reported
would be helpful. Also we have no way of knowing what operating system you
use, the version of DIA, the printer and driver software. Any one of these
could be complicit in the failure.

Thanks for the response. Yes moving to a different layer breaks the
connections. Also making copies won't really help. My goal was to have a
dynamic chart that I could turn on and off the complexity as needed. I'll have

I have one large functional block diagram of a process where I wish that
connections could be maintained between layers. I thought about, but did
not make large scale copies as you suggest. Too time consuming to make

I'll take a peek at the python extensions. There is a group_props script that
almost does what I'm looking for but it does not recognize line objects. I'll
keep trying. Maybe I can cobble something together.
