Hi everyone,

Today marks the 10th anniversary of WWWEDU, the email list I started on the Web and education. The group was founded following my publishing of EdWeb: Exploring Technology and School Reform (http://www.edwebproject.org) in October 1994, which focused on the potential of the Web as an educational tool. The site received immediate positive feedback -- so much so that I couldn't keep up with all the emails I started getting. So on December 14, 1994, I posted a note to the EDTECH list announcing the formation of a new list, WWWEDU, which would focus specifically on the role of the Web in education.

The list grew quickly and has remained strong ever since, though we've moved around on various list servers (CNIDR, UNC, Global Schoolhouse, Lightspan, then Yahoogroups).

If you're not familiar with WWWEDU and are interested in participating, you can visit our homepage here:

To subscribe, simply email [EMAIL PROTECTED] and you'll be added to the list.

thanks,
ac
