Any idea how to do that in thunderbird?

View menu | Headers | All exposes it for me. For example, it's the
following for your message:

I meant looking up a post by its ID (not obtaining the ID of a post).

Each message has a unique permanent link which you can get by
copying the link from the post title, or the "permalink" link in
the post sidebar, or (if you're using a modern browser with
JavaScript enabled), simply click on the post and copy the
contents of your browser's address bar. The URL contains the RFC
850 Message-ID, so it can be looked up directly in an email /
NNTP client or server by those not using the web interface.

forum.dlang.org does have moderation facilities implemented.

If you are missing a particular feature on forum.dlang.org, or
otherwise have actionable feedback, please file it on

Do not reply to them. And specially, DO NOT QUOTE THEM in your
reply. That just propagates the problem.

The same goes for spam that appears here now and then.

Ironically I am quite happy that they are happening more often lately
(not that we shouldn't deal with them, we should).
It means that we are getting a lot more new people who don't know our
culture just yet.
