Hi Andy,
It is the same 8FSK modem, however it uses shorter bursts for calling
and sounding and there is a PSK burst mode as well which uses the
MIL-STD-188-110 modem for generation.

I think previous postings here indicated that AQC ALE is unlikely to
filter down to amateur transceivers. Does anyone know what the AQC
Enable feature within PC-ALE does ?
