While reading Steve Ford's QST review of the Microham USB interface, I
was thinking about the enduring qualities of my Microham interface .
I also began to wonder when we might see transceiver manufactures
including this circuitry within a rig? Just connect a USB cable to
the rig, hook audio

interface that didn't use a USB port bit rather the computer sound
card. The rig is 746 pro connected via the data jack. Any one else

the USB to RS232 adapters with some success. The main issue is having a
driver from your OS for that particular adapter. Older legacy adapters
may not have drivers.
There are newer adapters that work out the

I thought that I had eliminated most, if not all of my RFI problems with

I still am having some problems. This is particularly true for the audio
cable which picks up quite a bit of RF even though it has isolation
I would like to think about having a club project for
building interfaces to get some additional members on
digital modes. Anybody know of any low cost kits or
have any suggestions about such a project?
Many thanks for any help.
