Randy and I communicated regularly via email and he invited me to visit him at
his home this summer. I regret that I did not have time to stop by his house
when passing through his area, I always assumed I could see him the next year.
Randy and I were also partners in some contests and we were on a NAQP team
together this year. Randy was very kind and helpful to me, he was very
talented operator. As Skip said, this is terrible news for all hams but
especially for those in the Low Country.
