*Role: Business Analyst Websphere Portal* *Duration: 6 to 12 months* *Location: Augusta, ME* This is a BA who has had experience with Websphere Portals projects *Overview:* We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team of project managers, business analysts and consultants designing, installing and customizing Enterprise Management products for client. All client product offerings are built in an n-tier client-server environment using an ASP.NET/C# front end and a Java/J2EE back end on an Oracle or SQL Server database. In this role you will work with clients managers, clients and product R&D teams to design, develop, and test a new web portal for taxpayer access and self-service. The portal will have a Java-based front end and will be designed using the IBM Websphere portal development framework. * Responsibilities: * • Gathering and documenting system requirements • Participating in joint client design sessions • Reviewing usability and functional accuracy of designs/windows • Writing web scripts • Developing test plans • Conducting system tests and preparing system implementation documentation. • Participate in other activities such as development support, training, and knowledge transfer. *REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: * • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, CIS, MIS or a related field. • Immediate authorization to work in the US. • 5+ years’ relevant work experience as a business analyst and/or tester in a software development, information technology, or system implementation environment. • Experience with requirements gathering as well as systems design, testing and implementation. • Knowledge of standard development techniques (OOD, SDLC). • Solid Visio, Word and Excel skills. • Strong analytical problem solving skills. • Ability to quickly grasp technical issues and offer solutions. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality. • Professional business demeanor. • Ability to work with a diverse group of people including management, clients, subject matter experts, developers, and testers. • Customer-focused attitude and desire to interface directly with end-user clients.
