This person should be someone who is thrilled by helping an organization become more productive through the use of systems (Their products aren’t glamorous. They’re productivity tools). Their customers will be internal stakeholders like the VP of Program Management, COO, CFO, etc (a great group of people). They will mostly be responsible for productivity solutions like ERP/MRP, scheduling, workload management, and reporting systems. Additionally, they may be responsible for systems that are used to deliver services on behalf of Tweddle customers, but the stakeholders would still be internal. This job is in our Clinton Township office. 3) Business Analyst – IT Solutions a. Product Owners are product centric (thinking about a product roadmap). There is a significant amount of our business that is solutions/services related (a client “asks” for something that is not necessarily associated with any specific product). We need someone who is accustom to engaging with customers to flush out requirements and representing those requirements to a development organization…following Agile practices and processes (namely User Stories and Scrum, along with other development artifacts like business process flow diagrams and system level sequence diagrams). This person will need to have excellent interpersonal skills and be a strong written and verbal communicator. They will “partner” with individuals from our Business Development (Sales) group and be their technical liaison; therefore, a technical background or proficiency is required. They must also be comfortable being self-directed and responsible for directing/leading others through influence. *Business Analyst – Business Systems* *As a team member*, you will perform the duties of a Business Analyst for the development and maintenance of internal business systems. You will work hand in hand with stakeholders and software developers throughout the entire product development lifecycle in order tomerge diverse, and potentially conflicting, business interests into a coherent, cost effective set of project priorities following Agile practices in a highly collaborative and cross-functional environment. You will be responsible for a portfolio of systems and a mix of both enhancements to current systems and new development. *The main activities of the role are:* • To define the Product Backlog and Product Roadmap for the nominated systems(s) • Determine the system impact and future direction • Develop an understanding of the customer’s needs • Set a clear vision and Release Plan for the systems(s) • Constantly re-prioritize the Product Backlog based on customer feedback and business priority. • Determine the appropriate product Release Date and Content • Actively manage stakeholders • Accept or reject the product teams work results at each Sprint Review meeting • Maintain a basic knowledge of software development • Provide regular reporting including product spend, scope, schedule and planning *Key accountabilities and tasks are:* • Product vision and backlog management o Working with the product team to provide clear vision, direction and priority of the Product Backlog o Attend all required Scrum meetings (Sprint Planning, Product Backlog Grooming, Sprint Review) o Provide the Team feedback on their performance at the end of each Sprint • Customer satisfaction o Provide the team clear information on customers and potential customers including how they use the product, why they use the product, who uses it, when they use it and with whom. o Establish open lines of communication with customers in order to bridge the relationship between product development and customers. o Ensure is developing products that exceed customer expectations. • Product Roadmap o Developing the product roadmap to deliver the agreed product(s) in line with business strategy o Communicating the roadmap and technology vision with the Team(s). • Release Management o Put in place a release management plan to determine what versions of the software will be released, to who and when. o Determine the best time to release products to customers based on project, internal business and market data. • Stakeholder Management o Application of techniques to establish, motivate and retain high performance software development and testing teams o Facilitating knowledge transfer within the team alongside encourage and coaching a culture of knowledge sharing. This position reports to the head of Product Development and resides in Clinton Township, MI. This position requires a self-starter who is capable of working independent of direction. *You have:* • Experience as a Business Analyst in a Scrum environment for internal business systems development or implementation such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, manufacturing systems for scheduling and time tracking, reporting systems, and other systems that facilitate business processes • Experience capturing and managing software product requirements as User Stories • Demonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycles and activities • The desire to be part of, and to contribute to, a team environment • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously • A clear ability to manage a range of different personality types in a facilitative and mature manner • Strong relationship building skills including the ability to relate constructively to all levels of the organization • Strong listening and written and oral communication skills • Ability to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical addressees • Ambition and the ability to be self- directed • Bachelor’s degree in various fields of study are applicable.
