S/he will be able to prioritize well, and will be responsible for the planning, execution and delivery of solutions to engineering milestones within an Agile/Scrum Team development environment. Using appropriate level of technical detail, s/he will be required to engage, manage and support our customers, while maintaining one’s composure under stressful situations. S/he will ensure that an effective and efficient use of new technology, processes and tools are applied in the development and management of our products. Oversight of technical quality and reviews shall be a critical area of focus in this position. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with strong analytical, written and oral communication skills, and works well in a team environment. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the smartest team, and the very latest technology, then this is the job for you! - Responsible for leading all technical aspects of project *execution*, and serve as staff support for the project manager or project management office. - Drive the program execution of the software solutions from product definition through successful release using an Agile software development framework. - Set goals, priorities, plan, track, and report project progress to Senior Management. - Implement state-of-the-art development methodologies and processes across the team to yield leading effectiveness and efficiencies. - Provide leadership, direction, mentoring, and constructive feedback to team members. - Ensure the goals of high quality, error free market ready solutions are achieved and delivered to the market place on time. - Troubleshoot field issues and acts as advocate for customer in resolving their issues. - Develops positive relationships with other engineering disciplines and other functions involved in the design process. - Collaborate with the Product Line Management and Engineering Development to define and ensure that new products meet market and customer requirements. - Ability to keep engage and keep customer informed - Stay informed of new developments and trends in the networking product industry and specifically VSAT. *REQUIREMENTS* § Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electronic, or Communications Engineering – MS preferred This is an engineering position in product development and requires course work or related work experience in the following areas: § >10 years of relevant industry experience. § Technical management experience working with a team of engineers in a cross-functional environment. § Strong technical project management utilizing advanced tools and methodologies. § Proven results of having contributed to entire product development life cycle. § Excellent software development experience. § Experience in mature SW development process – Agile/Scrum preferred. § Good understanding of IP Networking protocols and standards. § Experience in communications background – satellite or wireless preferred. § Very strong problem analysis and solution skills in dealing with complex technical issues § Knowledge and experience with object oriented programming languages (C++) and scripting knowledge – python, shell scripts. § OS knowledge – Linux and Unix inclusive of systems programming experience. § Knowledge of comprehensive test plan development for network systems. § Experience with JIRA Agile and bug tracking tools is desirable. *Professional Qualities:* § Motivated.
