Windows Server Operating System, Teradata DB, Network and Server troubleshooting, Cognos SW performance and configuration experience. Deploys the release of new technologies as well as designs, installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration testing of PC/server operating systems, related utilities and hardware. Responsible for roubleshooting server problems as reported by users. Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products. Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment. Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth, installs new servers and maintains the server infrastructure. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Typically has 3 - 5 years of IT work experience. Requires a high level of expertise in multiple system environments. Enterprise BI reporting environment requires experienced Cognos admin to support Cognos BI staging and production environments * • Environment *• EDW Teradata • Cognos BI stack • Hadoop data lake • Tableau data Visualization * Role: Cognos Administrator will be responsible for the installations of Cognos enterprise reporting business intelligence tools. Ability to install, upgrades, configures, tuning and maintain all components in an enterprise-wide Cognos based architecture. Will also involved in maintaining production system and working with end-users of the system Principal Responsibilities: • Expertise with Cognos 10.2 and assistance with environment for the upgrade between 8.4 and 10.2 Cognos security and administration for all internal and external users includes creation / modification of Cognos roles, AD groups, and user interface portals. • Implementation, testing, and documentation of new and updated Cognos reporting packages to be moved into production environment per request by project. Implement patches and other day-to-day Cognos administration tasks including creating folders/reports/users and migrating reports/folders/users from Dev to QA to Production Support all Cognos configuration requirements regarding new clients and client database migrations. Includes working with DBAs for setting up and testing new Oracle data sources used by Cognos, creating new Cognos security roles, and setting up new user security and reporting interface for users. • Contribute to coordination and planning of Cognos/Database/Infrastructure related activities/outages Support for developers to trouble shoot report issues related to Cognos configuration and/or report SQL for slow-running and nonfunctioning reports scheduled in InfoXpress and/or Cognos Assist internal and external clients with problem reports, and demonstrating how to use Cognos Analysis Studio, Report Studio and Query Studio.
