If you are interested, please send me your resume with contact details ASAP* * * * * *Title* : Manufacturing Engineer *Duration* : 6 Months *Location* : Northridge, CA “Local Only” Completes Design History File documentation -Creates and delivers presentations throughout the organization -Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) -Determines manufacturing operation requirements and process parameters -Develops advanced manufacturing systems and processes -Develops and implements strategic plans -Develops plans to evaluate process repeatability and stability -Develops product and process improvements -Participates in internal supplier audits -Participates in procedure writing and review -Performs deliverable checklist audits -Performs process and equipment validations -Provides technical support to other engineers -Reviews product performance data to identify trends -Specifies and implements process lay-outs -Supports manufacturing, development, and implementation processes -Ensures compliance with GMP's, -Generates documentation for engineering protocols and reports -Implements quality system improvements -Writes engineering and manufacturing specifications -Mfg. Engineer will develop & maintain project costs, tooling costs and schedules -Redesign existing products in an effort to reduce components and/or manufacturing & product costs -Drive efforts to research, test and implement improved manufacturing processes into a dynamic work environment -Coordinate activities with quality, purchasing and supply chain during and after the R&D development phase and interact with vendors to ensure project goals are being met. *Responsibilities:* -Responsible for key aspects of product engineering support when it comes to mechanical component designs and manufacturing process enhancement and development. -Specific responsibilities working with mold construction houses and with validation of molding process. -Must be able to utilize the engineering competencies and leadership skills as part of a fast paced product development and implementation teams to quickly and effectively evaluate designs, tooling and manufacturing processes to drive projects to a timely completion. -Responsible for writing and implementing equipment/process qualifications, validations and engineering reports. -Utilize different engineering tools such as Design of Experiments, Lean/Sigma Tools and/or Statistical Analysis Software to complete assigned projects. -Able to work with minimal supervision. -Comply with all standards and exercise regulatory compliance requirements such as FDA QSR and ISO 13485. -Work with QA and others to identify the risks for appropriate management and mitigation when addressing engineering issues. -Utilize 2D and 3D Solid Works to perform detailed design documentation or analysis. -A detailed understanding of geometric tolerancing when it comes to component and subassembly designs -Have the ability to implement changes to improve product designs, processing, and supplier's performance *Qualifications: * . Bachelor's degree . Min 3 yrs eng exp . Exp in injection molding processes and qualifications. -Exp working with mold construction houses. . Min 5 yrs exp w/injection molding process & mold design . Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers to influence the outcome of key initiatives in a manufacturing organization. . Experience in medical manufacturing, particularly disposable products, injection molding, or high volume automated assembly. . Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed. . Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project) . Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. . Ability to write technical reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals . Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of executives, managers, clients, and customers *Desired Qualifications: * . Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Technology or similar discipline . Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Industrial Technology, Materials Science or similar discipline . Ability to interface effectively with representatives of suppliers.
