I like Jerry's suggestion. Give Linux Mint a shot. It's got a pretty
interface. According to this site Mint comes preloaded with flash:

It doesn't have much (any?) eye-candy, but it is lightweight and has
up-to-date versions of standard Ubuntu packages.
