Re: [tdf-discuss] Re: Libreoffice for Mac

2011-03-06 Thread Laurence Jeloudev
I'd just like to ask the people who are libreoffice contributors for Mac.
Mac Osx lion apparently has full screen apps integration can we see
something similar in libreoffice on mac Osx lion in the future or
before the release of lion?

Laurence.

 Hi,

so far the actual question has not been answered i'm also curious to
know if there is a strong Mac porting team among those who are now
working on LibreOffice, and whether they will be ensuring Lion
 compatibility

You might be better off asking on the developer list, rather than here,
but Christian, who provide you with an answer, is one of the people who
builds LibO on Mac, and as far as I know, there are others. As to
whether LibO will be adapted specifically to take account of Mac OSX
Lion's latest and greatest developments / functions, that would seem
unlikely if the build baseline remains Tiger, since many functions have
been introduced by Apple post-Tiger that do not work with that release
 of the OS.

In my opinion (part time mac dev) I think once lion goes live and we get
something working for that we can expand the versions which this feature
can be included in.

I dont know how many times i have asked about spam filtering. we need
stricter spam filtering rules. I use spamassassin and it works like a charm.

Jonathan, you've got the best spam filtering there is - the moderators. You've
no idea how much we throw away! However, if I have read the message header
correctly, this is one that I approved by mistake, and I'm sorry for that.
I'll smack my wrist and promise to improve.

James why use moderators when there is technology that will filter it

Re: [tdf-discuss] Where to find a ZIP for LibrOffice package ?

 Hi there,

I used to install oOo with the zip package for Windows. I'm bored with
programs which add entries everywhere in the system and in the registry, and
avoid install EXE's when I can, they only obscure things. I like portable
and simple ways to install things.

It doesn't look like LibrOffice is providing a ZIP package on the download
 page, like OpenOffice.org does.
Did I miss it ? Or where is it ?
 Or should I stick to OpenOffice.org ?

Thanks in advance for any answer, and best regards.
