One of the objections to that extension, is that it requires one to be
connected to teh internet.

Some people, and organizations don't like their production systems to be
accessible to the Internet.

I believe it is an actual quote - lipsum.com says that its part of a classic 
text from 45bc. They even have an English translation!

And by publishers and designers, who want to see how a page will look
before they have the copy to insert into it. It's actually a
tremendously valuable tool that I use very, very frequently.

from both OO and Beta2.

In Word 2007 or 2010, type:

=Lorem(12)

and hit return, to see how this works.
