Elevator Buttons...the number of times I've hit the wrong button in Shanghai! In some of the better office buildings, you push the button to select your floor, but if you make a mistake, then you push and hold the button (for 1-2 seconds) to 'unselect' the floor! Simple! But, not many elevators

I suggest having a look at the ICE (Information Communication Entertainment) system used by Emirates. Really simple easy to use, but the screens themselves are sometimes not that responsive, needing to be touched 2 or 3 times in some cases (sometimes a surprisingly hard push is needed)... Karl

The Shanghai metro has expanded rapidly over the last 5 years (about 6 lines added) and will continue to do so upto the World Expo in 2010 (13 lines in total!). Sometimes it can be confusing to navigate around the possible interchange stations. The following website is really useful;
