The UX Test Kitchen is a new, nonprofit interactive agency providing free
website and media development to other nonprofits - only for nonprofits,
only for free. Its staff comes from various companies - such as Razorfish,
Time Inc., Kern+Lead, The Associated Press, and Harvard - in a collaborative
effort to bring an agency-level presence to nonprofits.
This is an entirely new business model: the UX Test Kitchen is increasing
the effectiveness of nonprofits through digital media while simultaneously
focusing on user experience (UX) and innovation. The company will be funded
by donations, grants, and corporate alliances - such as through their
partnership with Kern+Lead, a design and branding agency in NYC.
Their recently launched website was designed to appeal to both the media and
nonprofit communities, as well as really represent the UX Test Kitchen:
Fearless. Forward. Free. You can learn more, view their portfolio, or apply
to be a client at www.uxtestkitchen.com.
Cheers,
Dawn
