Hi. For the survey: I cowork with some potential users. They are geo
but not very geeks. I think there is some potential to collaborate
but so far it's just that I tell them how to use gvSIG when they get
stuck :(. Anyway It's more than I expected in Albacete(Spain).

Hi Frans,
it is correct, that FOSSGIS conference includes OpenStreetMap. Because
the german FOSSGIS e.V. (existing since 2000) in one function is the
OSGeo local chapter for german speaking people. But the FOSSGIS e.V. is
also a big supporter of OSM in the german speaking countries. the german
is that possible that FOSS4G also supported by OSM?
so we can use this brand, because FOSS4G more popular.

Hello to all the people involved,
I'm experiencing troubles in loading an .ecw image in GRASS 6.4. When I
try to import the file using the raster import (r.in.gdal), I can't find
out the extension, while I've seen that in other previous versions of the
software it was possible to do so.

Hi,
I'm co-working @ Espai13 [1], Vic, 70km away from Barcelona.
But, as Fernando, not with other geo-geeks. Not even programmers.
Which I think is quite sane :)
To share nearby geo-geekness we have the geoinquiets meetings in

Many thanks for the answer, Richard,
well the .ecw did not appear in the list of supported formats (but .ers
appears). However, I've seen that gdal support .ecw, and moreover that
people have imported .ecw succesfully to GRASS.

yes, it does support the ecw format, but is your business to go in the

Thanks for all of your support over the years. It was through your personal
efforts with Gary and Autodesk that we were able to get the organization really
moving. I look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.

hi all
just wanna a little discussion around OSM's server, called mapnik.
1. why dont we bring mapnik to OSGeo.
2. mapnik using GPX, but any idea related to OGC's WFS or WMS... in this
server, vs OGC's product in OSGeo (GeoServer,MapServer).

Without this concept, we would be isolated ourself from whole geospatial ocean.
