definitions. This could at a later moment be extended to include more layer

Work has been started on an SLD wysiwyg editor for the Geomajas project as
well. I believe the targeted deadline was somewhere in september. You could
ask on the mailing list there.

I think all you need is the Geomajas project.
It is a framework for creating web based applications - all in Java
(using GWT on the client). On the server side, there is a link to
sextante through GeoTools.
