Hi,
please make a group 'Push India to the FOSS GIS forefront' (that its population
so badly deserves). Help us make this happen. It will pay back by bringing a
tremendous impact on userbase who are not techies, and pullup FOSSGIS more and
more towards reality, and make a difference in society (Asian).

Hi OJ group,
here in India we are doing nothing less than Jumping with joy.. with all the
innovation taking place in OJ.
Soon using other FOSS GIS for mobile (GPS) mapping will soon be history and we
are delighted.

There is a huge population of OJ users who dont appear on the internet, and
OSGeo India wishes to change the situation, by adding itself to OJ developers.

FOSS4G2010:
Prof Rajan and Chaitanya who are also representing OSGeo India will be too
happy to meet OJ developers / admirers at Barselona. So do plan a birds of
feather / pub meeting to exchange views.

Cheers

Hi ede,
I am just out for work and cannot try that new trick with Mac. I wanted to do
it when I will be back (after 23 of Sept). Terminal windows are not a problem,
I think, on some Linux distribution (es Xandros) openjump.sh does open a
terminal too.

BTW openjump.command starts OJ even in Linux.

I just suggested another option. Because the shell script is actually
compatible, redirect from oj.command to shell script. I attached it to
'configurable cross-platform OJ launching' email message on developer list.
Could you try it? It worked flawlessly. Only drawback is a terminal windows
which has to be closed manually.
